We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Broker Support Officer (VA) to provide end-to-end administrative and loan processing support to a busy Australian mortgage broking business. This role is ideal for someone with strong mortgage broking support experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity within a collaborative team.
Working closely with the Mortgage Broker, you will be responsible for managing the back-end loan process, ensuring lender and compliance requirements are met, maintaining accurate records in the CRM, and supporting the efficient progression of loan applications from submission through to settlement.
The business operates under the Loan Market Group and utilises MyCRM, so prior experience with Australian mortgage broking systems is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end back-end processing of residential loan applications.
- Prepare and package loan applications for submission to lenders.
- Ensure all supporting documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with lender requirements.
- Maintain and update client and loan information within MyCRM.
- Monitor loan application progress and proactively follow up outstanding requirements.
- Liaise with lenders, business development managers (BDMs), solicitors, and other third parties regarding application status and documentation.
- Ensure all compliance requirements are met in accordance with Australian mortgage broking standards and lender policies.
- Assist with digital document management, electronic signatures, and workflow management.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
- Provide administrative support to the Mortgage Broker to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Assist with post-submission activities through to loan settlement.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflow efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience supporting an Australian Mortgage Broker or Mortgage Broking business.
- Strong understanding of the Australian mortgage application process.
- Experience with lender submission requirements and loan packaging.
- Knowledge of Australian mortgage compliance and documentation requirements.
- Experience using MyCRM or similar Australian mortgage CRM platforms.
- Experience working under the Loan Market Group network.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
